Nautical gifts and distinctive objects since 2003
A sea of discoveries!
Sailing World is the international online shop of Vitorlás Világ Kft. Our collection brings together a love of boats, carefully crafted objects and gifts with personal meaning. Since 2003, we have connected the spirit of sailing with gift-giving and the decoration of homes and offices.
Looking for a gift for a sailor or boating enthusiast? Discover ready-made ship models, compasses, nautical ornaments and accessories that bring a waterside atmosphere into everyday life. Whether it is a birthday, a newly passed boating qualification or a colleague’s farewell, we can help you choose a gift that reflects their passion.
At the heart of our collection are fully assembled decorative ship models. They are chosen as memorable gifts and as distinctive pieces for homes, holiday cottages and offices. Alongside finished models, we also offer wooden model ship kits for those who enjoy building.
A waterside atmosphere, wherever you call home
Some customers are furnishing a lakeside holiday home; others want to bring a little coastal calm into their everyday surroundings. A lighthouse, nautical picture, lamp or carefully chosen ship model can recall a favourite place, a summer journey or time spent beside the water.
From a small decorative touch to the character of an entire room, our maritime-inspired objects can complement homes, offices, hotels and restaurants. You do not have to sail to enjoy the atmosphere of the waterfront.
A captain’s heritage: the spirit and traditions of sailing
For us, the idea of a captain’s heritage lives in the stories, traditions and familiar objects of seafaring. Compasses, bells, barometers and ship models bring that world closer: the joy of discovery, memories of journeys and a personal connection to the water.
Assembled ship models to display at home
A detailed ship model can become a focal point on a sideboard, bookcase or desk. Historic sailing ships and motorboat models evoke maritime stories and the freedom of travel. Our finished decorative models arrive assembled: after removing their packaging and transport fastenings, they are ready for display. They are not building kits.
Our nautical gifts and home accessories also include compasses, barometers, bells, lighthouses, wall art, clocks and lamps.
When choosing a model or a building kit, consider its dimensions, level of detail and the space available. Each product page provides information about the particular item’s materials, measurements and included accessories.
Materials and thoughtful details
The character of a wooden ship model comes from its surfaces, hull shape and carefully worked details. Depending on the model, metal fittings, textile sails and fine rigging complete its appearance.
Wood species, construction and finishes vary between models. Please consult the individual product description for the materials, dimensions and accessories of your chosen ship. If a detail is especially important to you, ask us before ordering.
Packaging that protects delicate details
We adapt packaging to each product’s size and construction, paying particular attention to delicate model parts. For historical ship models supplied in wooden protective frames, see our illustrated unpacking guide. Other packaging may require a different approach.
Gifts for sailors and boating enthusiasts
A ship model may represent a childhood dream, a shared journey or a good wish for someone starting a new chapter. Discover nautical gift ideas for birthdays, anniversaries, weddings and corporate occasions, for family, colleagues, business partners or yourself.
Customers also choose gifts to celebrate passing a boating qualification. A compass, ship model or nautical accessory can mark that first milestone and the adventures ahead.
- Welcoming a new colleague: a decorative “Welcome on Board” lifebuoy offers a friendly greeting to a new member of the team.
- Celebrating a new baby: the same message can welcome a new family member as part of a nautical nursery theme. The lifebuoy is a decorative object, not a child’s toy or lifesaving device.
- A colleague’s farewell: a ship model can convey good wishes as they set a course for new horizons.
- A wedding gift: a ship can symbolise the couple’s shared voyage, with a personal wish for happiness along the way.
- For a father or a lifelong enthusiast: a finished model can join a collection straight away, while a wooden kit offers the pleasure of building.
Let good fortune sail into your home
To us, a sailing ship is more than a decorative object: it can symbolise freedom, hope and new possibilities. As a gift, it can express wishes for a happy, healthy and successful life. A carefully chosen ship model can also evoke the feng shui-inspired idea of symbolically welcoming abundance and prosperity into the home.
Whether a personal keepsake, a distinctive piece for your home or a heartfelt gift, let it carry your good wishes.
Special gifts for special occasions.
