This differs from our registered office. It does not restrict statutory ways of reporting a claim.

2. Scope, language and delivery area
These terms concern purchases of goods through the English-language sailingworld.uk storefront. The contract language is English and the payment currency is euro (EUR). A consumer is a natural person acting outside their trade, business, craft or profession. Specific statutory protections may also cover other purchasers where applicable law so provides.
We currently do not deliver to Switzerland or the United Kingdom. The .uk domain identifies the English-language storefront; it does not mean that delivery to the United Kingdom is available. Available delivery destinations and methods are shown at checkout. The domain, language and currency do not determine the delivery destination or tax treatment.
The terms can be read, saved or printed before placing an order. You accept the applicable terms when submitting your order. We do not subscribe to a separate code of conduct. The Hungarian and German storefronts provide their own language-specific information; these English terms do not replace it.
3. Products, prices and tax
The product page describes the essential characteristics, variants, dimensions, materials and accessories, and relevant use or safety information. Screen settings may affect displayed colours; this does not remove our duty to supply conforming goods.
Consumer prices include the VAT applicable to the transaction. Delivery charges and any other disclosed costs are additional unless expressly included in the offer. The total payable amount, including VAT, delivery and other applicable charges, is available before you submit your order.
For intra-EU distance sales to non-taxable purchasers covered by the EU One Stop Shop (OSS), we apply the VAT rate for the goods in the member state where delivery ends. Changing the delivery country before ordering may therefore change the gross product prices and total. A different billing country alone does not determine destination VAT. A foreign billing address alone does not lead to destination-country OSS taxation when goods are collected in Hungary without transport to another member state carried out or facilitated by us. Other transactions require their own tax treatment.
We do not unilaterally increase an agreed contract price. If we identify a pricing error before acceptance, we contact you; you may accept or reject a corrected offer. Once a contract exists, the applicable legal rules on mistake and contracts apply.
4. Ordering and correcting details
For products that can be added to the basket, select the product, variant and quantity, review the basket, enter contact, billing and delivery details, and select an available delivery and payment method. Check the details and total and read the terms before using the final button that clearly indicates an obligation to pay. Registration is not required. You can correct input errors before submitting the order. If you discover an error later, please contact us promptly; failure to do so does not create a general loss of statutory rights. Changes depend on the stage of fulfilment.
For products whose order/enquiry option opens a contact form instead of adding the goods to the basket, submitting that form is an enquiry or request for a quotation. It does not create a sales contract or payment obligation. The displayed price is indicative until the individual offer is issued. Supplier checks may take more than two working days; the basket-order review and offer-expiry rules below do not govern this quotation process.
An individual offer specifies the goods, quantity, final price, tax and delivery charges, performance time, payment schedule and the deadline for accepting the offer. These deadlines are separate. The contract is formed when your timely, unchanged acceptance of the complete offer reaches us by email. Different terms require a further agreement. Procurement starts after receipt of the deposit or full payment required by the offer. Ordering a standard item specially from a supplier does not by itself exclude consumer withdrawal rights.
5. Receipt confirmation and formation of the contract
A basket order is your offer to buy. We acknowledge receipt electronically without undue delay. If this acknowledgment does not reach you within the period reasonably expected for the service, and in any event within 48 hours after sending the order, you are released from the offer or contractual obligation under the applicable Hungarian electronic-commerce rules.
The automatic acknowledgment confirms receipt only. A successful card-payment notification also does not, by itself, accept your offer. We review basket orders within one to two Hungarian working days and send a separate email expressly accepting the order or explaining an obstacle. The contract is formed when our separate acceptance becomes accessible to you. Any proposed change of price, quantity or performance terms requires your agreement. Your offer expires if we do not accept it within two Hungarian working days; later acceptance requires a new agreement. Your statutory right to withdraw the offer or contract is unaffected.
An internal processing, payment or invoicing status does not replace an acceptance addressed to you. Acceptance and a collection-ready notice may be combined if both are explicit. We provide the prescribed contract confirmation on a durable medium within a reasonable time and no later than delivery, except information already supplied on such a medium.
The electronic contract is recorded in writing. We file the original order summary and receipt acknowledgment, purchaser identification and declaration time, separate acceptance email and applicable contractual attachments under the order identifier so that the declarations can be recalled unchanged and the parties and times identified. We send the applicable terms and model withdrawal form with the acceptance. You can request a copy of your archived contract at info@sailingworld.uk; we may verify your entitlement before disclosure. The archive is not public. Please retain your emails and attachments.
6. Payment
Checkout shows the available payment methods, conditions and any applicable charges before ordering. For the English storefront, bank transfer is in EUR: beneficiary Vitorlás Világ Kft.; bank CIB Bank Zrt.; IBAN HU07 1070 0653 6724 6522 5000 0005; BIC/SWIFT CIBHHUHB. Include the order number as the reference. Do not use the Hungarian storefront’s HUF account for an EUR order.
For basket orders paid by bank transfer, wait for the separate order-acceptance email and payment request. The full price and delivery charge are due within five Hungarian working days after that email reaches you. Payment is completed when credited to our account. If payment is missing, we give a further five-working-day period by a separate written notice. After unsuccessful expiry, we may end the contract by a separate lawful withdrawal notice. A payment after termination does not automatically restore the order; we refund it without undue delay unless a new agreement is made. We do not make an automatic general deduction for bank charges.
An individual offer governs its own deposit and payment deadlines. The deposit is usually 30% of the price, but the actual amount and deadline are stated in the offer. It is part-payment, not a forfeitable earnest payment. You may choose to pay the full amount in one transfer. For orders delivered abroad, the full price and delivery charge must be received before dispatch; payment on delivery is unavailable.
Online card payment for sailingworld.uk is provided through WooPayments. Follow the payment provider’s and your bank’s instructions. Card payment may occur before separate contract acceptance. If we reject the order, the collected amount is refunded without undue delay. If the result is uncertain, check your bank notification and contact us before paying again. Do not send card details or bank approval codes to customer service.
7. Dispatch, delivery and collection
We hand in-stock goods to the carrier within one to two Hungarian working days after acceptance, or after full funds are credited for bank-transfer orders. Carrier transit time is additional. The individual offer specifies the performance time for goods obtained to order. We agree split deliveries and any additional charge before they occur. Available destinations, charges and restrictions are disclosed at checkout or in the individual offer.
Collection is available at World Mall on working days, 09:00–13:00, after the collection-ready email. The notice gives a one-week collection period and a specific deadline. Contact us if you need longer storage. Paid goods and payment are not automatically forfeited when the collection period expires. For an unpaid order we contact you and may give an additional five-working-day period for payment and collection, followed by a separate termination notice where legally permitted. Internet-contract consumer withdrawal rights are not excluded by collection in person.
We take Hungarian public holidays and official working-day transfers into account. The day a notice reaches you is not counted in a period expressed in working days. If an email bounces, we attempt contact through another provided channel; sending alone is not treated as successful communication.
Unless a different delivery time was agreed, consumer goods are supplied without undue delay and no later than 30 days after the contract is formed. In case of delay, the consumer may allow an appropriate additional period and then end the contract if delivery still does not occur. No additional period is required where the law permits immediate termination, including refusal to deliver or an essential agreed delivery date.
For consumers, risk normally passes when you or a person nominated by you, other than the carrier, takes possession. If you independently commission a carrier not offered by us, risk passes when the goods are handed to that carrier, without affecting your rights against the carrier.
Please report visible damage, request a carrier report where possible and take photographs. A missing carrier report or photograph, or signing a delivery acknowledgment, does not automatically remove statutory remedies. Non-collection alone is not a clear withdrawal declaration. We discuss returned parcels and any further delivery before arranging it. We do not pass on costs caused by us or our carrier; any claim for costs requires a legal basis and substantiated, reasonable amounts, without double recovery or punitive flat fees.
8. Retention of title
We retain title to the goods until the full price has been paid. This does not restrict statutory consumer rules on risk, non-conformity or withdrawal.
9. Consumer withdrawal
You may withdraw from a distance sales contract without giving a reason within 14 days after you or your nominated person, other than the carrier, receives the goods. For goods from one order delivered separately, the period starts on receipt of the last goods; for an item delivered in parts, on receipt of the last part. You may withdraw before receipt and revoke your offer before contract formation.
If the required withdrawal information was omitted, the period is extended by 12 months. If the information is supplied during that period, the withdrawal period ends 14 days after you receive it.
Send any clear withdrawal declaration to info@sailingworld.uk or Vitorlás Világ Kft. – World Mall, Szentmihályi út 167–169, west wing, first floor, fifth street, F113O01+O02, 1152 Budapest, Hungary. You may use the model below, but it is not compulsory. Sending the declaration before expiry is sufficient; retain evidence of sending it.
The footer menu “Forms and withdraw from contract” opens the forms page with the prominent online button. You may also use our two-step Withdraw from contract function. Enter your name, details identifying the contract and acknowledgment email address, review and correct the declaration, then submit it with “Confirm withdrawal”. No account or reason is required. We acknowledge receipt without undue delay by email with the declaration contents and time. This acknowledgment does not replace case handling and any required refund. Other permitted declaration methods remain available.
Return or hand over the goods without undue delay and within 14 days after telling us of withdrawal, unless we have agreed to collect them. Posting the goods before expiry satisfies this deadline. The direct cost of returning conforming goods is yours, subject to the required pre-contract information; this does not shift costs of a valid defective-goods remedy to you.
Return goods to the World Mall address above, suitably packaged to prevent transit damage. Original packaging is not a general condition for withdrawal. We currently offer no goods that cannot be returned as an ordinary postal or parcel-service item. If we introduce such goods, we must give the specific return cost or, where it cannot reasonably be calculated in advance, the highest estimated amount before the contract, for the particular product and delivery location. A generic statement that you bear the cost does not replace that information. Large size does not itself exclude withdrawal.
We reimburse payments received, including the reimbursable delivery charge, without undue delay and within 14 days after learning of withdrawal. Extra cost from choosing delivery more expensive than our least expensive standard delivery need not be reimbursed. For partial withdrawal, reimbursement concerns the affected goods and applicable reimbursable charges, taking account of the delivery charge that would have applied to the retained goods. Your statutory rights are not restricted.
We use the original payment method unless you expressly agree to another method without fees. We may withhold reimbursement until we receive the goods or evidence of their return, whichever is earlier, unless we agreed to collect the goods ourselves.
You are liable only for diminished value from handling beyond what is necessary to establish the nature, characteristics and functioning of the goods. We assess and explain any actual loss; there is no automatic standard deduction. No such liability arises if the prescribed withdrawal information was not supplied.
Withdrawal does not apply to non-prefabricated goods made to your specifications or clearly personalised goods where the statutory exception applies and the relevant information is given. A standard catalogue product specially obtained from a supplier, or opening packaging, does not by itself meet that exception. Defective-goods rights remain applicable to personalised products.
10. Defective goods and statutory remedies
You are entitled to goods that conform to the contract. Statutory remedies against the seller are separate from any manufacturer guarantee and cannot be charged for. The applicable consumer law normally provides repair or replacement first, subject to impossibility or disproportionate cost; a proportionate price reduction or contract termination is available when the legal conditions are met, including unsuccessful or delayed remedial action, repeated defects, serious defects or lawful refusal to remedy. A minor defect does not normally justify termination.
Repair or replacement must be free of charge, within a reasonable time and without significant inconvenience. Where the law requires, removal and reinstallation costs are also covered. Required return transport for a valid non-conformity remedy is at the seller’s expense. Prior coordination helps arrange transport, preferably with the original carrier; lack of coordination alone does not extinguish statutory rights or automatically exclude necessary reimbursable costs.
Under the chosen Hungarian law, consumer non-conformity claims generally have a two-year limitation period from performance. A defect recognised within one year is presumed to have existed at delivery, unless incompatible with the nature of the goods or defect. Notify defects without delay; a consumer notification within two months after discovery is treated as timely. For qualifying consumer sales concluded after 31 July 2026, repair extends the relevant limitation period once by 12 months under Hungarian law, with the prescribed information before the remedy. Digital-element goods also have applicable update and digital-conformity protections. More protective mandatory consumer rules applicable to you remain unaffected, including different limitation, evidence or repair-extension rules.
11. Producer liability and guarantees
Where applicable Hungarian law grants a product-liability warranty claim directly against the producer/distributor, the consumer may request repair or replacement under the statutory conditions within two years after the goods were put into circulation. The defect and applicable conditions must be established. The statutory producer defences and notification rules apply. Different remedies cannot result in double compensation for the same defect.
Mandatory Hungarian durability guarantees apply where the legal product and purchaser criteria are met: for covered new durable consumer goods, two years for a sale price from HUF 10,000 up to and including HUF 250,000, and three years above HUF 250,000. These are the Hungarian statutory thresholds, not an additional fixed EUR guarantee promise for every product. Mandatory consumer protections otherwise applicable to the transaction remain unaffected.
Where Hungarian mandatory-guarantee rules apply, they include the prescribed guarantee information, evidence of purchase, start and extension of the period, and repair/replacement/refund rules. The absence or irregularity of a guarantee document does not invalidate the guarantee. Original packaging is not required. Statutory special deadlines and exceptions for specified vehicles apply according to the governing rules. A producer’s or seller’s voluntary guarantee follows its guarantee statement and does not reduce statutory remedies against the seller.
12. Reporting problems and complaints
Report a complaint or defective-goods claim using the contact details in section 1. The order number or proof of purchase, identification of the product and a description of the defect help us investigate. A photograph or prior permission is not a general exclusive condition for exercising statutory rights.
We investigate oral complaints immediately where possible. Where immediate resolution is impossible or you disagree, we record the complaint and provide the required copy. Written consumer complaints are answered substantively in writing within 30 days after receipt, with reasons and required dispute-resolution information if rejected. Consumer complaints and responses are retained for three years. Defective-goods and guarantee handling may be subject to separate statutory deadlines.
13. Dispute resolution
Consumers may seek an applicable conciliation procedure after first attempting to resolve the dispute directly with us. The Hungarian conciliation procedure is free for consumers; territorial competence and any permitted choice follow the law. The body associated with our registered office is Pest Vármegyei Békéltető Testület, Balassi Bálint utca 25, fourth floor, room 2, 1055 Budapest, Hungary; +36 1 792 7881; pmbekelteto@pmkik.hu; panaszrendezes.hu. Consult its current instructions for submitting an application; use the submission channels specified there. We comply with the statutory cooperation duties.
You may contact the competent consumer-protection authority or bring a court claim under the applicable rules. Information on Hungarian authorities and conciliation bodies is available from NKFH. These terms do not restrict mandatory consumer jurisdiction, venue or dispute-resolution rights.
14. Personal data
The Privacy Notice explains processing connected with orders, correspondence, payment, delivery, contract records and claims. Accepting these terms is not a general marketing consent or consent to every processing operation.
The English privacy information for contract documents and online withdrawal explains the data, purposes, legal bases, retention, access and your rights for those activities. The linked general Privacy Notice describes other website processing.
15. Applicable law and changes
Hungarian law governs the contract. This choice does not deprive a consumer of mandatory protections that would apply without that choice under the applicable conflict-of-laws rules. We do not impose exclusive Hungarian court jurisdiction on consumers.
New terms apply prospectively to orders placed after their effective publication and do not retrospectively change an existing contract. Website or domain changes do not reduce existing rights. If a term is invalid or conflicts with a mandatory rule, its consequences are determined under the applicable law; mandatory consumer rights cannot be removed by these terms.
16. Model withdrawal form
Complete and send this form only if you wish to withdraw. Using it is optional.
