If you have already built a few models and are looking for a new challenge, this kit offers an opportunity to develop your ship modelling skills. The materials used in this wooden model largely match those of the original ship. The parts are assembled using glue and nails.
The plans supplied in the box guide you through construction step by step in English and Italian.

Ship history
Sahure, also called Sahura, whose name means “He who is close to Re”, was an ancient Egyptian pharaoh and the second ruler of the Fifth Dynasty. He ruled for approximately 12 years. This was around 25 BC.
This model depicts a typical vessel used during Sahure’s reign. These Egyptian ships carried cedar and ebony from Lebanon to Egypt. Shipbuilders of the period did not use wooden pegs (treenails), but relied on ropes to hold their vessels together. The keel, frames and deck were tightly lashed together.
