• If you have already built a few models and are looking for a new challenge, this kit offers an opportunity to develop your ship modelling skills. The materials used in this wooden model largely match those of the original ship. The parts are assembled using glue and nails.

  The ship was officially named Santa Clara, named after its owner, Juan Nino de Moguer. He made at least five transatlantic voyages. It belonged to the small fleet of three ships with which Columbus set off in 1492 to sail around the world to reach India.  She was the fastest ship in the small fleet. After discovering the Bahamas, Oct. 12. and due to Santa Maria running aground (Dec.25), Columbus transferred his headquarters to the Nina. He returns to Spain in 1496. After some interlude, during which it is occupied by Sardinian pirates, it returns to the Caribbean in 1498. He finished his career here.
