  After the liberation, modeling gained unprecedented popularity in our country. Ship, plane, railway and car modelers started working in clubs or in their home workshops and made hundreds and thousands of models. There is no doubt that the most outstanding results are achieved by airplane modellers, but it is also certain that ship modeling is at the forefront in terms of popularity.
  One of the reasons for this popularity is that, in addition to the relatively small number of competition models, the 6,000-year history of shipping offers the modeler countless more beautiful ship types.
