The workshop was founded in 1842 by Pietro Riva in Sarnico, on the shores of Lago d’Iseo. With the quality of his work, he established a reputation that was then enhanced by four generations. Over the decades, production gradually shifted towards luxury boats suitable for sports purposes. The real golden age began when Carlo Riva inherited the company at the very end of the 1940s. Not only did our Carlo have a highly developed sense of beauty, but his creativity was also inclined to innovation. For example, he thought big and brought American engines to the renewed model range of his boats. In addition, it remained at the finest processing of mahogany, leather and steel. Well, the result speaks for itself. A legend was born! Under the pressure of the nascent fashion, kings, emperors and sultans rushed to buy Riva, just like the stars of the film and sports world, who sailed into Saint Tropez and other famous ports of the world. Brigitte Bardot, Richard Burton, Sean Connery, Peter Sellers, Prince Rainier of Monaco, the Shah of Persia, the King of Jordan all thought of Riva when they wanted to buy a boat as naturally as Ferrari or Rolls Royce when they wanted a new car. The name Riva became synonymous with luxury and glamour, dictating style and creating desire worldwide. In 1969, Carlo Riva acquired a remarkable fortune by selling his factory to an American company that modernized with great vigor and began manufacturing fiberglass-based plastic boats. A few years ago, a new owner appeared, who returned to wood and classic lines with the production of Riva Aquarama.

Riva Aquarama is a completely handmade model. The full-scale ship was made with hundreds of hours of work and great skill, based on original plans, detailed drawings and paintings. Pre-assembled wooden construction kits were not used in the production of the ornamental object made with the palisade technique. The luxurious appearance of the boat is due to the mirror surface, which is achieved by the multi-layer varnish and the perfect surface grinding. The boat’s stunning details include bright chrome and brass, a detailed dashboard, and leather seats. The seats made of genuine leather suggest the elegance of the age. Riva Aquarama goes through a thorough quality control process before leaving the workshop, which ensures that we deliver an authentic and perfect product when you purchase it.
